We fell in love with Mia Borders in the backyard of our friend Kerri Becker’s house. Jazz Fest had been cancelled AGAIN, but that wouldn’t stop Kerri. She found some amazing talent, got a stage built and invited 50 of her friends to spread out and hear live music. I cried I was so happy to see people smiling, dancing, eating muffalettas and drinking spiked whatevers! Mia was on the stage that day and i was so upset that I hadn’t heard her before.
